Monash Gryphons in Division 2 have announced the appointment of David Matthews as their new senior coach for the 2015 season.
Matthews has been involved in the VAFA for over 25 years and brings with him a wealth of experience both as a premiership player and coach.
Playing over 200 games of VAFA football, Matthews is a premiership player at Caulfield Grammarians (C Grade 1983) where he kicked over 100 goals in that premiership year. Matthews was also a Big V representative from 1983-85.
Matthews also has a successful background in coaching. He coached Uni Blues to the reserves premiership in A Section in 2004 as well as coaching Bulleen Templestowe to the 2008 senior D Section flag.
Monash Gryphons will be hoping that Matthew’s experience and knowledge will give their players the very best opportunity to develop as well as providing a platform for the club to continue to grow.
