Marcellin were pushed all the way by an Old Camberwell still searching for their first win. The Eagles held on for a 14 point win over the Wellers at Marcellin College.
Therry Penola were back to their belligerent best on their home surface as the Lions rolled PEGS by 31 points to level their season at 2-2. Jarrod Bannister booted seven goals and brother Corey five, as the Lions ran rings around the Bombers in the first half. PEGS responded with a six goal term in the third, but Therry settled to extend their advantage and record a comfortable win by the final siren.
NIck Petering booted seven goals as Monash Blues had an enjoyable trip west to take on Williamstown CYMS. The Blues came away with a 73 point win over Willy who were playing on the lush surrounds of Williamstown’s VFL ground.
The state of play shows that five sides are 3-1 in Premier C, whilst PEGS and Old Camberwell are propping up the table for the time being.
