Hawks are slowly building

West Brunswick had their first breather of the season, and with the sun shining the Division 3 leaders had their pick of games to watch for some research.

UHS-VU won a tough encounter with Albert Park by 11 points. There was never much in it but the Vultures three goals to the Falcons two in the final term was probably the difference.

Aquinas continues to build nicely in the section as they travelled to Eley Park to win by 68 points. Jack Price booted five goals for the visitors in the win that keeps them in touch with the top two.

Hawthorn won back to back games for the first time this year after they beat Glen Eira by 32 points. Ince and Gold are starting to find form and the goals and the Hawks slow start to the year seems to be behind them as they level their season at 3-3.

Emmaus St Leos made it six straight wins to start the year after they crushed Power House by 95 points at Ross Gregory Oval in Albert Park. Five goals from Harding and four from Hill were the leading scorers for the Animals.

Swinburne Uni defeated La Trobe University by 41 points in a student battle. Kennedy booted five goals again for Swinny, whilst Field managed six for the Trobers it wasn’t enough.
