2024 Division 2 Men’s Team of the Year
Division 2 Men’s was, without question, one of the most interesting sections in all of the VAFA throughout 2024. Brunswick set the early pace, winning 14 of their first 15,
VAFA selectors have named 49 players in the initial Premier B – Division 4 Squad that will play against the AFL Victoria Country No. 2 team on 11 July in Bendigo. Former Old Brighton premiership coach, Simon Williams, is the new Premier B – Division 4 coach and he has named a squad mixed with experience and fresh faces.
Premier B is strongly represented with 26 players, the undefeated St Kevin’s OB have the most representatives with five players named in the squad. Premier C has thirteen players named, Division 1 has four players named, Division 2 has three players, Division 3 has two players and Jaryd Coghill from Masala is the only player from Division 4 named in the initial squad.
There are a number players that played in the senior team’s win in the AFL Victoria Metro Championships against Northern Football League earlier this year. Anthony Lynch (St Kevin’s), Tom Small (Caulfield Gr.) and Jace Kelly (Mazenod) have all been named in the squad.
With the VAFA yet to win with their Premier B-Division 4 side against the Country No 2 side, selectors wanted to pick as strong a squad as possible.
The Premier B- Division 4 squad will train at Sportscover Arena on the following dates,
