Division 4 – Warriors, Collins take Rams to slaughter

Division 4 – Warriors, Collins take Rams to slaughter

Westbourne Grammarians gave Mt Lilydale a reality check in the form of a 140-point drubbing at Westbourne School Ground. Dale Collins was once again the star of the show, kicking eight majors and taking his 2015 tally to 88 from 12 games – 47 ahead of the next best. The victory leaves the Warriors in second position with 10 wins, while the Rams are sixth with six.

Canterbury made it 12 straight as they took care of Box Hill North to the tune of 38 points at Canterbury Sportsground. Rohan Walmsley snagged four majors in a best-on-ground performance, while Dylan Liistro continues to wreak havoc for the Demons.

Manningham Cobras kept their finals hope slightly afloat with a nine-point win against North Brunswick at Allard Park. After shooting out to a 23-point half time lead, the Cobras never looked back as they held on for their fourth win of the season. Daniel Wills kicked three for the winning side.

Parkside endured a devastating loss against Point Cook, giving up a 34-point half time lead and going down by eight points at Pitcher Park. Led by Will Dawson’s five-goal haul, the Bulldogs piled on seven goals in the second half to run over the top of their opponents.  The win leaves the Bulldogs in third position with 10 wins, while the Red Devils sit seventh with five.

South Mornington recorded just their third win for the season with a 25-point win against an inaccurate Chadstone at Citation Oval. The Tigers led for the duration of the match thanks in part to the Synners’ 13 straight first half behinds. Kade Woodruff and Justin Kiss led the way for the Tigers, booting three goals each.
