Old Haileyburians gave all Premier C teams a timely reminder of their devastating brand of football, destroying the third-placed Old Ivanhoe by 66 points at Princes Park Caulfield earlier today. Trailing by five points at quarter time, the Bloods kicked into gear with seven goals in the second term. John Nicolopoulos and Brett Voss were dominant up forward, kicking seven between them. The result gives the Bloods the same amount of wins as the Hoes, with only percentage separating the two sides in third and fourth position.
Marcellin have performed the ever-unlikely task of defeating Oakleigh by 52 points and falling from first to second on the Premier C ladder. Despite dominating the Krushers, the Eagles still fall due to Monash Blues’ huge win over Old Camberwell. Jeremiah Antypas starred for the Eagles, kicking eight goals in a best-on-ground performance.
Monash Blues replaced Marcellin at the top of the ladder following their 97-point domination of Old Camberwell at Frearson Oval. A four goal to one opening term set the scene for the rest of the match, as the Blues piled on 17 goals to five in the remaining three quarters. The Blues shared the goals between 13, with Lachlan Buck the main beneficiary of a dominant midfield performance with four.
PEGS celebrated their first win for the 2015 season, coming from behind to record a 33-point victory against Peninsula at Peninsula School. Trent Skurrie kicked six in a best-on-ground performance, while the remaining 10 goals were shared among eight players.
Williamstown CYMS registered their fourth win of the season with a 67-point come-from-behind victory against Therry Penola at Fearon Reserve.
