Congratulations to Dylan Swann, who has been nominated as this week’s Club Warehouse Rising Star.
Swann’s willingness to learn has helped him develop into a talented senior player at Collegians this season. He has compiled a string of strong performances while playing on the half forward flank and through the Lions’ midfield.
Likened to a young Marc Murphy, Swann is extraordinarily clean below his knees and uses his V8 acceleration to break away from both packs and opponents.
He has played five senior games, while also representing the Big V in the Under 19’s.
In the Lions’ close defeat against the ladder-leading St Bernard’s, Swann stood tall against the best in the business, playing arguably his best game for the season and earning himself a spot in the best players.
The Lions will look to return to the winners’ column when they clash with University Blues at Harry Trott Oval this weekend.
