Canterbury flex muscle with 191-point demo job in Division 4

Box Hill North held strong for their third win in a row, defeating Point Cook by 22 points in a high scoring affair at Elgar Park. 37 scoring shots to 30 ensured a crowd-pleasing spectacle, with Daniel Penny the main attraction with six goals for the Demons.

Canterbury proved why it holds the best record in Division 4 as they dismembered South Mornington by 191 points at Canterbury Sports Ground. Kicking 37.22 (244), the Cobras had an unbelievable 16 separate goal scorers, with Cameron Wynn the main beneficiary and kicking six.

Manningham Cobras put an end to two straight losses by defeating Chadstone by 33 points at Koonung Reserve. Anthony Raso proved the difference between the sides, booting five goals on his way to the best players’ pavilion.

Parkside registered their third win in a row with a 142-point thrashing of Masala at WJ Turner Reserve. There were best players all over the ground for the Red Devils as they piled on 29 goals to the Tigers’ seven through four dominant quarters of Division 4 football.

Westbourne Grammarians sit a game clear of Point Cook in third spot on the ladder following their three-goal win against North Brunswick at Allard Park. Leading by just two points at the last break, the Warriors kicked five goals to three in the last quarter to ensure their 13th win from 15 matches this season.
