Division 1 Women’s Round 10 Review
Power House strengthened its grip on top spot, Ormond delivered the most dominant performance of the round and Marcellin escaped with a thrilling one-point victory as the Division 1 Women’s
Congratulations to Collegians wingman, Jim Bazzani, for his Round 1 nomination in the Grill’d Rising Star Award.
“While on the Sandringham Dragons and Sandringham VFL list, Jim played a handful of games for Collegians between 2013 and 2015. Initially, he played with the U19’s and reserves, until he was selected in the senior team late last year.
Jim has joined Collegians full time in 2016 and has already shown he will be a permanent fixture at senior level in 2016 with his hot form in the practice matches and on the training track.
Jim plays his football a lot like West Coast Eagles superstar, Andrew Gaff; a hard running wingman, who can also play on the ball and be dangerous around the sticks, along with his ability to accumulate possessions and use the footy means he is a constant threat throughout any match.
Jim can be a little quiet off the field, but on the field he is a natural leader and plays his footy at a standard which is far greater than his age or experience suggests.
Very vocal on the ground and a smart footballer, his exceptional work rate and fitness means he gives his all right through to the final siren. A courageous player who runs into packs without any concern for his wellbeing.
Jim is a fantastic clubman and is well-respected among all at Collegians. He is a reliable person who we all know will give 100% to all of his team mates. His work rate and constant willingness to improve on the training track will ensure he gives nightmares to opposition clubs for many years to come.”
