Rams & Warriors go full savage in their Round 2 Division 4 outings

Mt Lilydale hit the scoreboard 50 times in their 133-point thumping of Masala at WJ Turner Reserve. Sean Gibson and Max Hampton were stellar in offence, kicking five each among eight other goal kickers. Despite the loss, Masala were able to score 22 times of their own and will take solace from the four-quarter endeavour of their chargers. Samuel Freeman owned the scoreboard for Masala as he sent through three goals.

Manningham Cobras produced the upset of the round when they ran over North Brunswick by 21 points at Allard Park. A six-goal to one opening quarter set up the win for the Cobras and they were able to hold on for the rest of the match. Scott Mcpherson went beast mode up forward with five of the Cobras’ nine goals.

Westbourne Grammarians went full savage in their matchup against Chadstone, keeping the Synners scoreless as they piled on 254 points of their own. Aaron Taylor and Chris Hudson kicked seven goals each for the Warriors, while they boasted six more multiple goal kickers. Jason Edwards was named best for Chadstone on a day they would rather forget.

Point Cook sit second on the Division 4 ladder after producing a stunning 24-point victory against Eley Park Sharks. Trailing by 26 points at the end of the first, the Bulldogs entered half time in front thanks to a six-goal to nil second term. The third saw another swing in momentum as the Sharks regained the lead and entered the last term two points up. A William Dawson-led Bulldogs outfit managed to wrestle back the lead and hold on for their second win in two weeks.
