U19 Section 2 is set to go prime time this weekend as Old Melburnians host Caulfield Grammarians in a Friday night blockbuster at Sportscover Arena.
The second-placed OMs have not yet lost a game from their five outings in 2016 and will look to keep their unbeaten streak alive against the fourth-placed Fields on home soil.
While they are yet to face St Bedes/Mentone Tigers – who is also currently undefeated – OMs proved their finals credentials in their Round 4 11-point victory against the 4-1 Parkdale Vultures and backed it up last week with a 23-point win over Fitzroy.
They boast two of the top four goal kickers in U19 Section 2, with James Regan (15) and Joshua Kerin (11) sitting second and fourth, respectively.
After winning just one of their first three matches, the Fields will look to use the form and momentum garnered from two consecutive wins against Whitefriars and Old Ivanhoe over the past fortnight.
Joseph McClelland has led from the front all season and has already found himself in the best on four occasions, while Matt Ball (10) is leading the way on the scoreboard.
The top four clash will commence at 6:40pm under lights at Sportscover Arena, Elsternwick Park.
