A dominant second half has helped St John’s to the Division 2 Grand Final as they defeated West Brunswick by 41 points at Trevor Barker Oval. The Westies jumped out to a 14-point first-term lead before a four-goal to one second term gave the JOCs the slight ascendancy heading into the second half. From there, it was all JOCS as they piled on eight goals to two with Tim Edwards and Aaron Thornton bagging three each on the back of Thornton’s 16 last week. John Ayama starred in a best-on-ground display for JOCs, while William Dillon kicked two for the Westies as they look to next week and the winner of Preston Bullants and Yarra Valley.
