The VAFA congratulates UHS-W forward, Bridget Healey, who has been named the Round 2 Women’s Rising Star following a standout three-goal performance against Brunswick Renegades.
What the Club said:
“Bridget has started her football career this year at UHS-VU in the inaugural women’s competition. Coming off a knee injury whilst playing other sport, Bridget has always wanted to play football and growing up with her brother playing all through juniors she jumped on the idea of playing at the same club with him.
Bridget plays a lot like Chad Wingard as she has a bit of tongue and cheek in the forward line, able to find space beautifully and creative when finding the football. She is known for being tenacious down at UHS-VU and loves to kick a goal for her team.
Bridget’s strengths as a footballer are having a really good kick, awareness on and off the ground and can play both high and low on the field.”
