Kane Maghamez made a dream start to his Manningham Cobras career by nailing nine goals on debut as the Cobras defeated Masala by 133 points at WJ Turner Reserve. Leading by just 19 points at the first break, the Cobras piled on nine unanswered goals in the second term to take an unassailable 80-point lead into the half. The Tigers fought back with six goals in the third term, as Sam Freeman stood up and finished with four, but were overrun in the fourth with another 11 Cobras goals to three. Ayden Sukkel chipped in with five for the Cobras, while Adam Baltruweit (one) was best afield for the second time in three matches.
Aquinas showed no mercy as they dismantled Eley Park Sharks by 146 points at Aquinas College, while seven goals from Max Hampton helped Mt Lilydale to a 56-point win over Parkside. Elsternwick made it three wins on the trot as they defeated St Francis Xavier by 43 points in Beaconsfield.
