St Bernard’s came from 15 points down at the last break to pinch a three-point victory over Old Scotch with just seconds remaining on the clock. A six-goal to three fourth term led the Snow Dogs to their first win in three weeks, with Big V star Simon Caven kicking the winning goal with five seconds remaining. Charlie Vague (three) was named best afield for the third-placed Snow Dogs, while Adam Bentick continued his outstanding season injury free. Harry Larwill (four) was the main recipient in front of goal for Old Scotch, who fell to their first loss of the year but maintain second position on the Premier B ladder.
Nine goals to two in the last quarter gave Monash Blues a 40-point win over Fitzroy, while the undefeated Old Brighton similarly ran away from Old Carey with five goals to two after leading by just seven points at the last change. An Ash Krakauer-led Ajax proved too strong for Mazenod with a 28-point win at Gary Smorgon Oval, with the second-gamer booting three goals in a best-on-ground performance. Matt Boland returned to the Parkdale Vultures line-up with five goals in their 74-point demolition of Peninsula at Gerry Green Reserve, taking his season tally to 14 from three games.
