Vultures power over House, Snakes resurgence continues

Vultures power over House, Snakes resurgence continues

UHS-VU flexed serious muscle as they dismantled Power House to the tune of 56 points in their Division 3 top-of-the-table clash at Ross Gregory Oval. Seven goals to one in the opening term gave the Vultures a commanding 40-point lead and one which they refused to give up for the remainder of the match. Ryan Smith (one) starred for the Vultures and was named best afield, while Brandon Jackson, James McGee and Mitch Sweeney kicked three goals apiece. Nick Nagel returned from injury and snagged four for the House, who will now look to regroup after their first loss of the season.

Canterbury were made to work hard for their four-goal win over Point Cook, while Richmond Central continued their resurgence with a third-straight win after four losses to start the year. Nine goals to three in the second half gave them a healthy 26-point win over La Trobe University. A seven-goal haul from Ben Higgins helped Swinburne University to a 98-point victory over South Melbourne Districts, while Westbourne Grammarians led from start to finish as they returned to the winenrs’ column with a 36-point win against Albert Park.
