Congratulations to Kye Beveridge who has been named the Round 8 Men’s Rising Star on the back of his standout defensive display against Beaumaris on the weekend.
“Kye Beveridge has made a huge impression in 2017 in the start of his career at St Bedes/Mentone Tigers and has been a great acquisition to the club playing six senior games from the opening eight rounds.
Since crossing from De La Salle Under 19’s the son of the great Luke Beveridge has held sway across half back for the Tigers. Kye plays and looks like Collingwood great Scott Pendlebury, who he trains with as a Collingwood TAC Cup player.
Kye is terrific with his run and penetrating disposal across the back line setting up many chances for his forwards to capitalise on. He is quiet and very popular with his team mates and all at the club.
We wish him well in his future career with us and congratulate him on receiving this well-deserved award.”
