Old Ivanhoe moved one step closer to ending a four-season stint in Premier C by securing an A-Grade coaching panel led by former captain, Jarrod Gieschen.
Gieschen, who played 175 games for the Hoers, will be joined by AFL-experienced trio, Jeff Gieschen, John Stevens and High Performance Coach, David Buttifant.

“Old Ivanhoe Grammarians Football Club is pleased to announce that Jarrod Gieschen has been appointed Senior Coach for 2018.
Jarrod is a former captain and premiership player who played 175 games for Old Ivanhoe in a stellar career of amateur football. Jarrod is also a senior executive with Mazda Australia.
Jarrod will be supported by:
- Jeff Gieschen (Director of Coaching) former Richmond senior AFL, Maffra, Wodonga, West Perth and Geelong AFL assistant coach;
- John Stevens (Senior Assistant Coach) former Sydney Swans AFL player and Old Ivanhoe premiership player; and
- David Buttifant (High Performance Coach) former Richmond AFL player and Sport Science Director at Collingwood and Carlton Football Clubs.
Old Ivanhoe training for 2018 season commences at Chelsworth Park on Wednesday 22 November.”
