From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
VAFA Wilson Women’s Division 2 fixture
Four teams will make their VAFA Wilson Women’s debut on the first weekend of Division 2 action with Aquinas, Old Melburnians, Old Ivanhoe and Whitefriars set to take the field for the first time.
The Bloods will host Canterbury at Aquinas College after the Cobras claimed five wins and finished sixth in Development Division 4 last year. OM’s, who enter the competition as one of the favourites following a strong off-season, clash with Bulleen Templestowe, while Old Ivanhoe take on Therry Penola.
The Friars are set to meet Yarra Old Grammarians in the fourth and final game of week one, with the Bushrangers looking to improve upon their two wins in Development Division 2 last year.
