VAFA Wilson Women’s Premier B (White) fixture released

By Nick Armistead · March 21, 2018
VAFA Wilson Women’s Premier B (White) fixture released

Scotch Stars will make their highly-anticipated VAFA Wilson Women’s debut when they clash with Old Brighton at Brighton Beach Oval on April 7.

The Stars, who are the only newly-formed team in Premier B (White), will be tasked with curtailing an improved Tonners outfit coming off eight wins from their 14 matches in Development Division 1 last year.

Beaumaris fell just 11 points short of a grand final berth in 2017 and will be looking for a strong start when they host Old Mentonians at Banksia Reserve. The Panthers were agonisingly close to premiership success after they went down to the Nodders by just two points in Development Division 3.

Like the Tonners and Scotch, Ajax and Old Carey will mirror the men’s by competing in the same section, with the Jackettes hosting the Panthers in a Round 1 blockbuster.

Hampton Rovers and Old Haileybury will do battle at Trevor Barker Oval after the Hearts were knocked out of finals in the first week following a strong nine-win season in Development Division 1. Their match will be the curtain-raiser to the Sandringham vs Footscray VFL encounter.
