The VAFA is thrilled to announce Grill’d has returned in 2018 as our Official Healthy Burger partner. Grill’d and the VAFA have built a unique partnership since 2015 with creative and supportive activations for VAFA clubs and players in our competition.
Throughout the season, Grill’d will be supporting VAFA clubs and individual players with weekly recognition awards, a season-long Grill’d restaurant offer, fundraisers and through Local Footy Matters.
Local footy matters will continue to support and build club awareness in their local community as well as raise funds for all clubs involved. For the month of July, each Grill’d burger purchased by VAFA members and the general public will receive a token to place in the Local Footy Matters jars in-restaurant. A total share of $12,500 will be donated to every single club, providing much needed financial support.
Grill’d Founder/MD, Simon Crowe explained how excited Grill’d is to announce their partnership extension with the Victorian Amateur Football Association. “We believe we share common values and understand the impact communities have in sustaining sport at a local level. I am proud our Local Footy Matters initiative will assist in contributing to each club as well as Grill’d being able to reward individual players with a Grill’d dining experience each week. We wish all the Clubs a successful season ahead”.
VAFA CEO, Brett Connell, believes that “Grill’d is a great fit for the VAFA community. The geographic match-up between Grill’d restaurants and our clubs is very close. Our focus is on supporting all of our clubs and this partnership offers that with everyone supported in some way. The VAFA and Grill’d partnership is a win for all and we trust our community will support and enjoy delicious burgers all season long.”
Stay tuned for some exciting announcements from Grill’d ahead, including the opportunity to win a 2019 corporate box for their club!
