40 VAFA players has been selected in the first squad ahead of the Big V’s senior representative match against the Adelaide Footy League on June 9.
34 players come from William Buck Premier, while the remaining six are Premier B.
Reigning premiers, St Kevin’s OB, boast the highest number of selections with seven, while fellow grand finalist Collegians have six.
20 of the 22 players who represented the Big V in last year’s record-breaking victory over AFL Victoria Country are in the squad, with champions Brendan Iezzi and Anthony Lynch hanging up the Big V boots after outstanding careers at representative level.
Player availability was taken into consideration prior to selection and all players and their club secretaries will receive an email shortly with details.
