Just one game separates third and sixth after Round 11 of Premier Men’s action. Ladder leaders Old Brighton saw off a stiff challenge to their 14-game winning streak at Brighton
The fourth annual William Buck VAFA Grand Final Lunch has shifted earlier into our finals series to Friday 7 September and will now be known as the William Buck Finals lunch.
This event has grown year-on-year and we are expecting a bumper crowd in attendance to celebrate the culmination of our season and the anticipation of upcoming grand finals across all men’s sections.
Channel 7 football journalist, Sam Lane, will again be our Master of Ceremonies, while we will also welcome back comedy satirist, Titus O’Reily.
We are delighted to announce two fantastic special guests; Brendon Gale, CEO of Richmond FC and Nicole Livingstone, Head of Women’s Football at the AFL. With inclusion a key theme of the VAFA, it will be excellent to hear about Richmond’s indigenous partnerships and the trends and developments in our women’s game.
The date change also means this event does not clash with any club lunch events to ensure we can bring together as many of the VAFA clubs & their sponsor partners as possible. In particular, the SKOBFC Grand Final Lunch takes place on Friday, September 14th.
The event will take place at Zinc, Federation Square on Friday, September 7th.
