Congratulations to Mitch Brown (St Kevin’s OB) who has taken out the 2018 Premier Coaches MVP with a record-breaking 80 votes.
The previous record was 72 polled by Harry Tinney in 2014, but Brown’s dominant performance included 12 5-vote matches and two of those the perfect 10.
Awarded at the Woodrow Medal and VAFA Awards Night, Brown said it was the first individual award he’d received and praised the standard of VAFA football.
He entered the VAFA in 2017 and was named BOG in last year’s William Buck Premier Grand Final win over Collegians.
Brown was at his best with four goals and a BOG display in the preliminary final as he looks ahead to this weekend’s decider with SKOB.
