Felicity Frederico awarded OAM

Felicity Frederico awarded OAM

The VAFA would like to congratulate Board Member, Felicity Frederico, after she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), General Division, for service to the local community in the 2019 Australia Day Awards.

Felicity, who joined the VAFA Board in 2017, has been a keen advocate for community sport over many years, particularly women’s football.

She has over 10 years’ experience at board level; including, eight years as a Councillor and Mayor at Bayside City Council, Director of the South Metro Junior Football League, Trust Member of the Southern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust, Vice President of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association and many other Boards and organisations.

  • Mayor, Bayside City Council, 2014-2015; Councillor, 2008-2016.
  • President, Association of Bayside Municipalities, 2014-2015; Executive Member, 2015-2016.
  • Metro Vice-President, Victorian Branch, Australian Local Government Women’s Association, since 2015; Treasurer, 2014-2015; Member, since 2012.
  • Director, Victorian Amateur Football Association, since 2017.
  • Director, South Metro Junior Football League, 2012-2015.
  • Member, Steering Committee, Sandringham Hospital Capital Campaign, since 2015.
  • Co-founder and Organiser, Mad Paddle, Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Victoria, since 2012.
  • Honorary Member, Sandringham Yacht Club, since 2008.
  • Trust Member, Southern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust, 2013-2016.
  • Honorary Member, Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron, since 2018.
  • Member, Committee of Management, Fairway Bayside Aged Care, since 2018
