Take a look back at 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final day at Elsternwick Park, as Old Brighton defeated Old Scotch to claim their first top-flight Premiership.
The VAFA congratulates Old Xaverians young gun, James Dalbosco, who has been named the Round 1 Men’s Rising Star after his standout performance against Old Melburnians on the weekend.
What the club said:
“James first represented the Old Xaverians in the Under 19s program in 2017 and he was an integral member of both the 2017 & 2018 Under 19 Premier Section premierships. In 2017, he won the OXFC Under 19 Best & Fairest and was Runner Up in 2018.
James is a smooth mover on the football field with his major strengths his composure and ability to win a contest and has been likened to a young Scott Pendlebury.
He is renowned at the OXFC as a committed and hardworking footballer, looking to get the most out of himself.
At the end of the 2017 season, James was asked to speak to the graduating year 12 class at the annual School Boys Luncheon at the OXFC and is seen as a future leader of the football club.”
