Trobers on the march, X-Men streak ahead in Div 4

St Francis Xavier continue to streak ahead in Division 4 after they defeated Eley Park Sharks by 43 points at Strathaird Reserve. The damage was done in the opening term when the X-Men kicked 10 goals to four and took a 37-point lead into the first break. Once again it was the Harrison Coe show with the B-D4 Big V squad member bagging seven goals and taking his season tally to 58 from just eight games. Stephen Richards-Gill chipped in with four goals, while Joshua Lafranchi was named best afield. No results had yet been submitted for Eley Park.

Albert Park moved into second spot on the ladder following their fourth consecutive win, this week defeating Masala-Dandenong by 59 points at Fotheringham Reserve. Leading by 15 points at quarter time, the Falcons booted 13 goals to seven thereafter, with Josh Beets leading the charge with a bag of five. James Brick was named best afield for his performance which included three goals. No results had been submitted for Masala.

La Trobe University claimed their third win on the trot with a 37-point victory over South Mornington. Tom Mooney kicked two goals for the Trobers and was named their best, but it was Bailey Zimmermann who starred with six goals. Jordan Waite was the number one contributor in front of goal for the Tigers with four.

Elsternwick proved too strong for Box Hill North in their R9 clash at William St Rec Reserve, running out 100-point winners. Julian Yeatman (7) and Justin Hunter (6) were outstanding in front of goal with 13 between them for the Wickers, while Sean Buncle continued his strong individual form as the best of the Demons.
