Keen VAFA pundits will be keeping a close eye on this weekend’s first round of the AFLW season with a handful of Amateur players set to make their debut.
Caitlin Greiser (MUWFC & Big V), Olivia Vesely (Old Geelong) and Rosie Dillon (Old Trinity) will represent St Kilda when they face the Western Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon while Vaomua Laloifi (Old Xaverians) and Ellie Gavalas (Marcellin) are lining up for Carlton and North Melbourne, respectfully. Furthermore, Alice Edmonds (Caulfield Grammarians) is starting ruck for Richmond tonight.
Greiser, who represented the Big V in 2018, played just four games for Melbourne Uni before earning selection in the VAFA’s history-making win over the Adelaide Footy League.
The VAFA congratulates each player on their selection and wish them the best of luck this weekend.
