Former Richmond Central big man, Dane Roy, has experienced a whirlwind five years since launching a 73m barrel on AFL Grand Final Day in 2015.
Roy, who played 34 senior games for the Snakes from 2014-15, changed his life when he won the longest kick competition and subsequently a $250,000 American Football scholarship to the University of Houston.
Roy recently shared his incredible story on the Taking A Punt Podcast from the day itself, to working with renowned punting coach Nathan Chapman and ultimately ending up at the Houston Cougars.
