The VAFA would like to advise that on Monday 8 February the VAFA Board accepted a recommendation from the VAFA’s Football, Growth, and Integrity Sub-Committee to introduce an Under 19 Promotion and Relegation Policy.
The intention of the Under 19 Promotion and Relegation Policy is to introduce an objective process to determine the Under 19 Section structures and to bring greater quality, integrity, and efficiency to the Under 19 fixturing process each season.
The two clubs occupying the lowest two positions on the premiership ladders of Under 19 Premier and Under 19 Division 1 at the end of the season will be transferred to the Section below in the following season.
The two clubs represented in the Grand Final of Under 19 Division 1 and Under 19 Division 2 will be transferred to the higher Section in the following season.
The Under 19 Promotion and Relegation Policy will come into effect at the conclusion of the 2021 season and will be used to determine the Under 19 Section structures for the 2022 season.
