Monash Blues stalwart, Shane Chapman, will add yet another string to his bow after he was announced as the Blues’ senior women’s coach for the 2022 Premier B season.
Chapman, who recently coached the women’s reserves side, has played more than 250 games for the Blues; a career that involves multiple premierships, numerous coaching positions and time on the club committee.
“He presented a strong vision for the Senior group and is excited to build on the strong foundations laid by inaugural coach, Ian Mills,” the club said.
“Shane highlighted the importance of a team first approach and can’t wait to crack in when preseason kicks off on November 15.”
The Blues won four games and narrowly missed finals in 2021, but produced the competition best & fairest winner, Ainslee Elliot, and Ella Stephenson who finished runner-up in the goal kicking with 14.
