2019 William Buck Premier Women’s Best & Fairest winner, Imogen Barnett, continued her rise through the women’s football ranks when she claimed Collingwood FC’s VFLW Best & Fairest Award on Saturday.
Barnett, who starred for Old Trinity from 2017-19, took home the Pies’ B&F gong alongside the leading goalkicker award.
“In what was a breakout debut season at the Pies, Barnett’s rise saw her recognised as one of the competitions most damaging forwards,” Collingwood Media’s Tom Robertson wrote.
“The 26-year-old also claimed the VFL leading goalkicker award after booting 20 goals in 13 home-and-away matches.”
Barnett played 35 games in her three seasons with Old Trinity as well as two Big V appearances.
She polled 28 votes in 2019 after ranking second in the competition for hit outs, first for marks, third for inside 50’s and averaging 18.2 disposals per game.
The VAFA congratulates Imogen on an outstanding season with the Pies.
