The Power House Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Scotland as Men’s Senior Coach for Season 2022.
Jeff, who coached the club in 1993/94 (as playing coach) and again in 2012, returns to the Ross Gregory Oval after coaching at the highest level of the VAFA over the past 10 seasons.
Jeff spent the past five seasons as a Senior Assistant Coach at Caulfield Grammarians FC in Premier A & B Section. Prior to that, he spent five years at University Blues as the U19’s coach.
Jeff played 294 games with Power House, winning the 1995 Senior Best and Fairest and is a Life Member of the club.
Jeff’s coaching philosophy is to provide opportunity for all players to develop and improve as footballers, but also as young adults, providing a space where all can be open, honest and vulnerable to create a greater connection and unity across the club as a whole.
Jeff said, “In the past few years of coaching at the higher levels, I have learned more about people management, player engagement and creating a fun, enjoyable yet challenging football environment.”
“A key focus of mine will be to work with players on areas they need to develop such as positioning, decision making, running patterns and effort and adherence to team structures.”
“I’m excited about the opportunity to return to my old club and to take on the 2022 season as a united group.”
Club President Nic Pavlou said, “Everyone at the club is delighted to have Jeff back in the fold for Season 2022 and we look forward to Jeff bringing his wealth of high-level knowledge and experience to The House”.
