The BJS Women’s Umpire Academy is a female development and support network. The Academy aims to create an environment that allows female umpires to feel welcome, valued and equal.
Throughout the 2022 season, female umpires will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, participate in social activities and receive specialised on field skills training.
The Season Launch for the BJS Women’s Umpire Academy will take place on Monday 21 March from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Elsternwick Park.
The VAFA has secured industry leading guest speaker Carol Fox. Carol will present a Masterclass on Developing Women Leaders in Sport. Carol is the former President of Women’s Sport Australia and was acknowledged as an Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence. Carol brings thirty years of experience in sport and is the co-author of Confident Communication for Leaders.
