The VAFA congratulates the fourth Men’s Rising Star nominee of 2022 – Jack Darmody from St Kevin’s, Jack was influential in SKOB’s 21 point win over Collegians, kicking 4 goals in a scintillating performance.
What the club said:
Jack is a former St Kevin’s College student who unfortunately was part of the 2020 Year 12 group who missed their final school football year.
Jack captained the SKOB under 19’s in 2021 and also made his senior debut in Round 14 of that year against Old Brighton, which turned out to be the final game of the season.
Jack’s pre-season form had everyone at the club excited and in his first four games of 2022 he certainly hasn’t let anyone down. He is one of a young group performing very well at Senior level and that gives us great hope for the short and long term future.
Importantly, Jack is a great young man off the field and thoroughly deserving of the Rising Star. The whole SKOB community is very proud of this accolade.
