The Board of Directors of the VAFA are very pleased to announce Jason Reddick as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the VAFA.
Jason joins the VAFA having served 28 years in the football industry in executive positions at Carlton Football Club (CFO 1994-2015) and Williamstown Football Club (CEO 2015-2021). More recently, Jason has been the GM Partnerships, Fundraising and Communications for national sport and recreational charity, Reclink Australia.
President George Voyage expressed the director’s support for the decision, “We are thrilled to have secured a person of Jason’s experience to lead the VAFA through this next period of growth for the Association. As a former player, committee member and life member at Therry Penola Football Club, Jason has a great understanding of, and passion for, the VAFA competition, and we are extremely confident that he has the drive to deliver the VAFA’s strategic outcomes.”
The Board engaged Carruthers Executive and Sport Executive, to conduct the recruitment process. From a wide and comprehensive group of applicants received, it was narrowed down to a shortlist of quality candidates.
“It is a real honour for me to be appointed to this important position. I certainly share in the Amateur values, and I am looking forward to engaging the Board, our clubs, players, umpires, and all other key stakeholders in delivering and growing a VAFA competition that we can always be proud of,” said Reddick.
Jason will officially commence his role on Tuesday 14th June 2022. Peter Grant has concluded his term as interim CEO today, as previously agreed. For all operational matters until Jason commences Glen Towers, is the best point of contact.
