Premier C Men’s action continues this weekend

By VAFA Media · July 8, 2022
Premier C Men’s action continues this weekend

With the rest of the competition having a bye this weekend, Premier C Men’s continues with five games across round 14, two of which can be live streamed.

First up, Old Ivanhoe hosts Mazenod at Chelsworth Park with the ‘Hoers looking to solidify their top four position on the ladder, while a win for the Nodders could see them take Ivanhoe’s spot. Both teams are coming off losses, with Old Ivanhoe going down to the Rovers and Monash Blues proving too strong for Mazenod.

The wide expanses of Como Park will see third-placed Old Geelong take on the struggling Ormond. The home side will be full of confidence after a big win over Old Mentonians last week, while for Ormond, they’re coming off two straight losses, last week going down to Parkdale to the tune of 43 points. This game will be streamed live on My Sport Live – see below for details.

Frearson Oval at Monash University is the scene for Monash Blues vs Preston Bullants. The Blues have lost just two matches this season and sit equal-top with the Rovers, while Preston hold up the Premier C Men’s ladder with just the one win.

Old Mentonians have been up and down this season and now find themselves in ninth position on the ladder. They host UHS-VU at the Keysborough Playing Fields, with the visitors defeating Marcellin last week in what was their second win of the season. This certainly promises to be an intriguing contest, and a danger game for the Panthers.

Lastly, the ladder-leading Hampton Rovers travel to Bulleen to face the eight-placed Marcellin. The home side has recorded victories in their past two home games, defeating Old Ivanhoe and Preston, while the Rovers have returned to form, winning their past three. You can stream this game live on My Sport Live.

All matches kick-off at 2:00pm on Saturday and you can follow the live scores right here.
