VAFA Live Coverage: September 7-8
It’s a massive weekend of live VAFA Media coverage across Premier Men’s, Premier Women’s and U19 Premier, with plenty of high-stakes action to enjoy Saturday and Sunday. Tune into seven
After a weekend off for all sections with the exception of Premier C Men’s, VAFA footy resumes in the run to the finals and VAFA Media has you covered.
Arguably the biggest news to hit the VAFA in a long-time occurred during the double bye with University Blues being stripped of premiership points for breaching the VAFA’s player points cap. They have fallen from 5th place to 9th on the Orthosport Ladder.
They’ll be out in full force to write the wrongs of the past when they face Old Scotch at the Uni Main tomorrow afternoon. In his first interview since the verdict was handed down, Uni Blues coach Guy Martyn will join Joe Pignataro in the Saturday Warm-Up at 1.05pm to talk through the findings, the past fortnight and how Uni Blues will approach the remainder of the season.
Old Scotch will be hoping for a repeat of their season opener where they stormed home with 8-goals in the final quarter to claim a 7-point win over the Blues. Mark Gnatt will join the Saturday warm-up at 1.35pm to talk through the start to the season the Cardinals have had.
Eliza Wright and Ethan Mills will make up the broadcast team that covers the first bounce from 2pm.
To hear the coverage live and uninterrupted, tune into RSN Carnival 1 on your digital radio, download the RSN927 app and select RSN Carnival 1, or stream directly from the VAFA website.
You can also watch the action live from the Uni Main, with Uni Blues v Old Scotch the VAFA Live Stream game this week. You can tune in on the VAFA website or Facebook.
In Premier B Men’s, a fortnight ago Old Haileybury caused a boilover and ran rampant over University Blacks. The next challenger awaiting Blacks is Beaumaris who are sitting second on the table. From Shark Park they’ll be aiming to inflict further pain on the ladder leaders and giving them something to think about in the run to the finals. You can stream this game live through the My Sport Live channel and App.
