The final month of the home and away season for the men’s, the final round of the home and away season for William Buck Premier Women’s, and Preliminary Final weekend for Premier B Women’s down to Division 3. Away from senior football, Under 19’s is being showcased Friday night!
The last time Old Melburnians met Collegians was under the Friday night lights at the Harry Trott Oval. After Collegians kicked the first goal in 60 seconds, OM’s proceeded to kick the following 16 and make a total night of it for themselves.
Since then, the Lions have won six games in a row and have been an unstoppable force in William Buck Premier. Tomorrow promises to be a much closer encounter as the return bout heads to Elsternwick Park in a precursor to September.
Join Joe Pignataro, Josh Heriot and Nick Duxson for all the action from VAFA HQ with the Saturday warm-up at 1pm, followed by the first bounce at 2pm.
To hear the coverage live and uninterrupted, tune into RSN Carnival 1 on your digital radio, download the RSN927 app and select RSN Carnival 1, or stream directly from the VAFA website.
Under 19 Division 2 Men’s takes to the skies under the Friday Night Lights this weekend. Old McKinnon/Glen Eira will do battle against St Kevin’s at Packer Park from 7pm. This is a top of the table battle with the winner likely to finish the home and away game on top of the table with three rounds remaining. They’re likely to meet again in the first weekend of the finals, so it will be interesting to see which club shows their full set of cards tonight.
Join Josh Heriot, Ethan Mills and Mick Comerford for all the action from 6.45pm before the first bounce at 7pm. Club President’s Kye Cherian (Glen Eira) and Patty Mount (St Kevin’s) will join the coverage through the evening as we promote the senior stars of tomorrow.
St Bedes/Mentone Tigers in Premier B upset Old Haileybury earlier this season producing their best win of the year. Since then, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the boys from Mentone, but tomorrow have the chance to atone for that and ruin the run OH have been on.
The final round of the William Buck Premier Women’s home and away season is upon us. It’s a tune up before the finals for the Women’s top flight, and Caulfield Grammarians have the chance to inflict pain on West Brunswick to cement their spot in third place on the table.
