The VAFA recently held its 2023 Club Conference at Holmesglen Chadstone, representing an opportunity to update club’s and their stakeholders on the season ahead.
The Conference featured two “streams” of workshops throughout the day – Football and Community. The Club Conference was cancelled in 2021 and 2022, so the 2023 Conference presented a great chance to not only hear about the season ahead but also network and socialise early in the season with the VAFA community.
The Conference was supported by a variety of the VAFA’s Partners who presented products and services that support VAFA clubs and their committees. It also presented an opportunity to hear from Community Partners for the first time with Presentations from Tackle Your Feelings, Relationships Australia Victoria, Proud 2 Play, CM Sport, Sport Community, Alcohol and Drug Foundation, Relationships Australia Victoria, Mental Health Education Group and the AFL.
VAFA Clubs & Community Manager, Sean Walker spoke to VAFA Media and said, “the VAFA Club Conference presents a great opportunity to re-connect with clubs and their stakeholders early in the year while also ensuring vital information is passed on to ensure 2023 is a great year on & off the field.
“The presenters, partners and people involved to pull the day together should be congratulated and we hope all clubs who were in attendance saw significant value in the Conference as we head into the 2023 season”.
All sessions were recorded on the day and will be available for clubs to view via the VAFA Portal.
