At the conclusion of 2022, Kye Turner (Old Haileybury), Brodie McLaughlin (De La Salle) and Anthony Caminiti (Old Carey) found their way onto AFL lists. Ethan Phillips (St Kevin’s/De La Salle) was awarded the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal in the VFL as the competitions rising star.
St Kevin’s 2x Premiership captain Sarah Cameron has left the VAFA to play full time with Williamstown in the VFLW.
On the coaching front, Jamie Cassidy-McNamara has taken the reins at Coburg in the men’s VFL program after a year with Old Trinity.
