VAFA Partners with Sports Lawyer

By Susan Miller · March 30, 2023
VAFA Partners with Sports Lawyer

The VAFA is excited to announce a new partnership with Sports Lawyer, a boutique law firm that provides legal representation for clients and organisations within the sporting industry. The three-year deal will run until the end of the 2025 VAFA season.

Sports Lawyer has over 20 years of experience and provides those in the sporting industry with prompt, accessible and personal legal services.

Sports Lawyer Principal Paul Horvath has told the VAFA community that “Sports Lawyer is delighted to be partnering with the VAFA for the next three years.  We have a strong interest in community sport, but also have deep and broad experience in professional and national areas of sport, as well as strong employment law credentials.

Off the back of positive steps taken by VAFA on its governance in 2022, we think the VAFA is well placed to continue its leadership in football in many aspects such as inclusion, women’s football, and excellence in its product, despite the challenges COVID created for sporting bodies.  We look forward to working with the VAFA and all Member Clubs, wherever possible.”

VAFA CEO Jason Reddick commented on the partnership that “the sporting landscape often requires us to seek expert professional services and by partnering with Paul and his team at Sports Lawyer, we have secured an essential legal resource to continually safeguard the interests of the VAFA and our stakeholders. Sports Lawyer are well renowned in our industry, have been invaluable in their services to the VAFA to date, and we appreciate their continued support.”
