VAFA welcome back Grill’d

By VAFA Media · April 12, 2023
VAFA welcome back Grill’d

The VAFA is thrilled to announce the return of Melbourne born restaurant group Grill’d as a commercial partner of the league for the next two seasons.

Grill’d last partnered with the VAFA in 2019 and returns this year as the naming rights partner of all VAFA match day results, in the form of “VAFA Grill’d Results”.

Grill’d CEO Adam Stapleton commented, “Being part of the largest metropolitan football competition in the country, including the largest contingent of female players, is an incredibly exciting opportunity. The VAFA and Grill’d both share a love of supporting the local community and specifically grassroots development of Australian rules football, so this is just the beginning of a very rewarding partnership.

“As one of the current 13,000 VAFA players, I understand the importance of leading an active, healthy lifestyle and fuelling my body with the right nutrition. Grill’d is the only brand that is recommended by leading AFL club dieticians and nutritionists, so engaging the next generation of aspiring players is a fantastic addition to our sports partnerships program.

“We are passionate about our delicious burgers that are nutritionally balanced and 100% natural, along with our support of people, our planet, and our communities.”

VAFA CEO Jason Reddick added, “The VAFA is delighted to once again partner with the Melbourne born restaurant chain Grill’d.

“Healthy living is a shared value that we are keen to promote to our extensive VAFA community, this is an ideal partnership that links us with the same nutrition offerings as is recommended at the elite level of our sport.”

St Kilda 221-game AFL legend and past VAFA player, Andrew Thompson also showed his support of the partnership, “Having started my footy career at the Old Melburnian club, I know how important business support is for grassroot AFL development, so congratulate Grill’d for returning to the VAFA. In addition, I’m a keen spectator of the VAFA games as my son Flynn is an umpire.
