The VAFA congratulates Tahlia Limburg from the Old Yarra Cobras on receiving the Round 2 Anytime Fitness Women’s Rising Star nomination from the weekend.
What the club said:
Tahlia joined the Yarra program determined to challenge herself and improve her football. She has seamlessly slotted into the club’s culture, and on the field, Tahlia provides a significant forward presence and pressure that creates opportunities for both herself and her teammates.
We put it on Tahlia coming into this week to focus on defensive pressure, and she delivered that in spades whilst also hitting the scoreboard. As a coaching group, we’re all very aware of what Tahlia is capable of, and the Rising Star nomination is the recognition she deserves.
Tahlia’s aerial contest work has been outstanding for a young key forward. The work she puts in off the ball, and her ground-level game is equally as impressive.
