Tackle Your Feelings – Divisional Football Partner for 2023 and 2024

By Susan Miller · May 3, 2023
Tackle Your Feelings – Divisional Football Partner for 2023 and 2024

Tackle Your Feelings are the new football partner for Men’s & Women’s Divisional football and Mens & Women’s Thirds competitions in 2023.

The ball sponsorship sees the Tackle Your Feelings brand on VAFA Sherrin footballs for the 2023 and 2024 season.

Tackle Your Feelings is a well-established partner of the VAFA after supporting VAFA clubs in the Mental Health space by delivering Mental Health workshops to VAFA clubs since 2021. In that time over 30 VAFA clubs have undertaken Mental health workshops with many clubs booked in for workshops in 2023.

The Tackle Your Feelings program is designed to provide participants with the tools to understand, recognise and respond to mental health challenges. The Tackle Your Feelings program has previously been delivered exclusively to coaches, committee members and senior club leaders with the program now expanding to directly impact club playing groups. This season Old Scotch and Old Haileybury Football Clubs have already been involved in Mental health workshops for their players with a combined attendance of over 120 players.

When chatting with VAFA Media, Tackle Your Feelings Program Manager, Adam Baldwin said “Grassroots football clubs have a responsibility to create an environment that supports mental health and Tackle Your Feelings aims to provide participants with the tools to have conversations about mental health so those who are struggling can get the support they need.”

“I hope the presence of the Tackle Your Feelings logo on the game day Sherrins serves as a prompt for club leaders to ensure they are prioritising mental health initiatives in the same way they do physical health,”

If your club would like to be involved in a Tackle Your Feelings workshop in 2023 please reach out to VAFA Club Development Coordinator, Casey Crapper ([email protected]).

Tackle Your Feelings footballs can now be purchased on the VAFA online store: https://vafamerchandise.com/footballs/
