The VAFA congratulates Robert Larcher from St Kevin’s Old Boys Football Club, who has received the Men’s Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 14. Rob has performed consistently across the season in his debut year, and played an outstanding game on the weekend, scoring 2 goals and named second best on ground.
What the club said:
Graduating from St Kevin’s College in 2022, Rob has not missed a beat since coming to play at SKOBFC and made his senior debut in Round 1, 2023.
St Kevin’s coach, Anthony Lynch, commented “Rob could not have made a better impression on his coaches and teammates. Straight out of the school First XVIII, Rob is calm, composed and has had an immediate impact at senior level. He is a fantastic and humble young man.”
On behalf of the club, St Kevin’s President, Pat Mount, went on to say “Rob is one of three under 19 players to have already made their debut for the club in Premier division this year, which we hope will bode well for the club’s future. We are very excited for the role Rob will play in season 2023 and we are very proud of his Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination.”
