The VAFA was today informed by the President of Ivanhoe Amateur Football Club, that at a meeting of members held last night (Thursday 10th August), the Club members resolved to:
a. Change the Club’s Constitution ‘Purpose’ in moving from the VAFA to the NFNL (Northern Football Netball League).
b. Change the Club name from Ivanhoe Amateur Football Club to Ivanhoe Football Club.

The VAFA will address the issue of the impact of this on our division’s relegation and promotion movements once the matter is fully resolved.
Whilst the VAFA is disappointed to see the Club depart (especially one that has been with our Association since 1934), we recognise it is ultimately a decision for the Club’s members.
The President of Ivanhoe Football Club has committed to continuing to operate as a respectful club in the VAFA community until such transition is finalised.
