The 2023 Division 3 Women’s Team of the Year has been revealed.
AJAX with six representatives in the side, including first-time Premiership Coach Joe Nankin. The competition’s leading goal-kicker, and Coach’s daughter, Lindi Nankin also makes the team as deep full forward.
Notably, Caitlin Boylan has been named captain of the team, rounding out a remarkable first year of Aussie Rules Football with a B&F, best on ground in the Grand Final, and a Premiership Flag.
Whitefriars star Clare Fernandes makes the team after being nominated in the Big V Squad in 2023, alongside her Friars teammates Kirkwood, Smith and Ryan.
The red and white army, Parkside, have 3 players named in the team, lead by Emily Rayment.
Bulleen Templestowe’s Olivia Lawrie features after a milestone season playing her fiftieth game in 2023.
Minor Premiers, Power House, are represented by Catherine Bartholomew at half forward, and Natalie Stuart at half back in the team of the year.
