SEN to Broadcast VAFA Action in 2024

By VAFA Media · April 11, 2024
SEN to Broadcast VAFA Action in 2024

The VAFA is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) as the Official Radio Partner of the VAFA.

The partnership will see SEN broadcast VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s matches each Saturday throughout the home and away season and finals series.

The weekly SEN Match of the Day can be accessed on the SEN App, SEN.com.au and VAFA.com.au, while the VAFA coverage will be promoted across SEN’s radio and digital channels.

Kicking off with a bang this Saturday as the 2024 William Buck Premier Men’s season gets underway, the first SEN Match of the Day will see St Kevin’s host Old Xaverians at TH King Oval, with coverage commencing at 1:45pm.

VAFA CEO, Jason Reddick commented, “We are thrilled to be partnering with SEN and have the VAFA Match of the Day broadcast through the SEN platform. SEN is synonymous with football coverage in Victoria and we see a great synergy in partnering with them to feature our William Buck Premier Men’s competition each week and continue the growth of our audience and the VAFA brand.”

Julian Bayard, Head of Sport Broadcast for SEN, said “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the VAFA to broadcast their Match of the Day on the SEN App and through www.sen.com.au. This season looks incredibly exciting and even, and we can’t wait to bring all the action to our SEN audience every Saturday afternoon.”

The VAFA is also delighted to announce the signing of Paddy Grindlay as Host and lead caller for the Match of the Day broadcast each week on SEN.

“Paddy is a promising up-and-coming young caller and will take on a key multi-dimensional role in VAFA Media, working on our game day coverage, weekly podcasts and social media coverage,” said VAFA’s Broadcast & Content Manager, Jason Bennett.

“Paddy slots in alongside a talented line-up of play-by-play broadcasters and special comments analysts, including familiar voices such as Simon Petch and Josh Heriot. I’m excited to work with our 2024 commentator pool in delivering the live action to the VAFA’s passionate fans every week.”
