Bullant Community Celebrate Luke Green’s VFL Journey

A momentous occasion as the Preston Bullants Amateur Football Club (PBAFC) and the Northern Bullants VFL (NBVFL) come together to celebrate the achievement of Luke Green who has earned a coveted spot on the Northern Bullants VFL playing list for the 2024 season. Luke’s journey epitomises the collaborative success and nurturing environment provided by both clubs within the Victorian football community.

The Northern Bullants VFL Club proudly welcomes Luke Green to their playing list for the 2024 season. Luke’s exceptional work ethic and dedication during the summer have not gone unnoticed, showcasing a journey as a senior player at the Preston Bullants Amatuer Football Club and now ascends to the VFL with the Northern Bullants.

“We are thrilled to welcome Luke Green to the Northern Bullants VFL Club. His hard work and dedication at the PBAFC showcases the values we hold dear – commitment, perseverance, and a love for the game. ” said Whitlam Malkoun, President at the Northern Bullants VFL Club.

Damian Howard, President of the Preston Bullants Amateur Football Club, articulated, “The commitment of the Preston Bullants Amateur Football Club to nurturing talent and offering a pathway for young players to realise their full potential has always been unwavering. Luke Green’s selection for the Northern Bullants is not only a testament to his dedication to our club in the VAFA, where players are motivated by passion rather than monetary gain, but also a recognition of his exceptional talent and hard work throughout the summer. Luke’s enthusiasm for our club over the past few years is evident, and this incredible opportunity for our top-tier player talent is a well-deserved reward for his continuous dedication.”

The Preston Bullants Amateur Football Club (PBAFC) and Northern Bullants VFL Club—may be separate entities, but share more than just the same colours; they share a sense of community, tradition and, along with the Preston Bullants Junior Football Club who all proudly represent the Preston and northern suburbs community in the VFL, VAFA and YJFL.

The connection and pathway Luke has forged from the VAFA to the VFL exemplify the potential for aspiring northern suburbs footballers who may have been overlooked in their junior years.

Luke’s story serves as a powerful inspiration for young athletes, demonstrating that joining an amateur football club like the PBAFC can pave the way to achieving higher goals in the world of football.
